.....it funny how one can feel some extremely claustrophobic when not having the technological means to reach the outside world...I remember when (not)having these things really didn't matter. I also remember when I used to be able to remember people's phone numbers...now...*chuckle*...if I loose my phone, I doubt I'll remember any of your numbers. I remember when it was cool to just talk to such-in-such in my neighborhood...or close social space. now, I keep in touch with people all over the world...and once that connection is halted, even for a couple days, it seems as if the world, just for those couple of days, seems a bit smaller. I believe we like the feeling of options/access more than the actual feeling of usage....
I say all this to say...
glad to be back online...
and now, a quote sent to me from a dear brother/friend (happy to come back and be met with this):
"Every man has consummate genius within him. Some appear to have it more than others only because they are aware of it more than others are, and the awareness or unawareness of it is what makes each one of them into masters or holds them down to mediocrity. I believe that mediocrity is self inflicted and that genius is self bestowed." - Walter Russell
...yep!
